This illustration represents the feeling of masking, an autistic trait where a person hides their authentic autistic self in order to "pass" as neurotypical in day-to-day life. It was inspired by my personal experience with masking and by the tower tarot card. Unmasking can bring about feelings that are evidenced in the tower, a crumbling of the previous known in order to build yourself anew. It is a journey to discover your true self. Printed on archival paper.
